No, it’s not going to be The Osbournes or Gene Simmons Family Jewels. It’s called If I Wasn’t A Rock Star, and it will involve actual rock stars trying to pretend that they are not rock stars. At least, that seems to be the premise. Jon Bon Jovi says the show will be about famous people who “return to their hometowns sans armies of agents and publicists, forcing them to consider how their lives would differ out of the spotlight.” Here is a picture of famous person Jon Bon Jovi:

We’re not sure how this is going to work. Perhaps they will put the rock stars in disguises, like Tyra Banks used to do? You know, so they can live like the actual plebes they are pretending to be? Or will they get a job at the local grocery store stacking carts together and stocking shelves with canned salmon? Guess we’ll find out – although no announcement has been made about when the show will debut or on what network.

Bon Jovi goes on to say the show will be “a celebration of the working men and women of this country…the real rock stars.” Our fingers are crossed that the tone of the show itself will be less condescending.
